  • 8.How to choose a projector

In order to choose the necessary projector model, two factors must be taken into account: - the distance from the Gobo projector to the surface where the image will be directed. The greater the distance, the more powerful the Gobo projector is needed; - the illumination of the place where the projection will be directed. The darker the place, the brighter the image will be. One Gobo projectors differ in power from 15W to 600 W.

  • 9.What is a gobo projector?

A gobo projector is a lighting device that uses a specialized lens to project a pattern or design, known as a gobo, onto a surface.

  • 10.What is a gobo?

Glass gobos are made from transparent glass with a partial mirror coating to block the light and produce "black" areas in the projected image. This eliminates any need for bridging, since the glass itself is the support, and allows more intricate images to be produced. Glass gobos can also include colored areas (much like stained glass windows), whether by multiple layers of dichroic glass (one for each color) glued on aluminum or chrome coated black and white gobo or by newer technologies that allow the thickness of the dichroic coating (and therefore the color) to be varied in a controlled way on a single piece of glass, making it possible to turn a color photo into a glass gobo.
